A charitable event to raise money!
The purpose is to raise funds for department improvement projects, such as purchasing small equipment items, In house training, fire prevention at local schools, summer camp, and vacation bible schools. local High School homecoming parades, Fourth of July fireworks display, National night out against crime, community Christmas parade, Christmas angle display on light poles in the Buras fire district while providing an entertaining event for all to enjoy a good-natured competition for those in the community who wish to prove they have the best-boiled crawfish. Over one million crawfish served each year. Can you believe we ran low last year, whoa! Open fire grilled hamburger and Hot Sausage Patties! Throw in the all american hotdog and add a side of french fries to it, sweet! Condiments.....no problem.......Mayo, Ketchup, Mustard, Onions, Sweet Relish, Chili & Cheese.....oh yea, we got you and the kiddies covered! Live music, beer, taco todies and daiquiris for the adults.
Coke, Sprite, Diest Coke, Power Aid and bottled water. Top all that off with Nacho's, Snowballs and Sweets! All the children loved the carnival rides and games too!
